Publication Ethics
Our commitment to research integrity, transparency, and responsible publishing.
Editorial Standards
Syaahi Academic Press adheres to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on scholarly merit, regardless of authors' nationality, gender, affiliation, or personal relationships. Editorial decisions are communicated promptly with justification.
Author Responsibilities
- Submitted work must be original and not published or under review elsewhere.
- Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification are strictly prohibited.
- All sources must be properly cited; significant text from other sources must be attributed.
- All persons who meet authorship criteria must be listed; those who do not must not be listed.
- All funding sources and potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed.
- Errors discovered after publication must be promptly reported to the editorial office.
Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism prior to peer review. A similarity index above 20% (excluding references) will result in immediate rejection without review. Self-plagiarism of an author's own previously published work, without proper attribution, is treated equivalently to plagiarism.
Data Integrity & Reproducibility
Authors are encouraged to make underlying data, code, and materials publicly available (e.g., via OSF, GitHub, or Zenodo). Data manipulation that misrepresents results constitutes research misconduct. Editors may request raw data at any time during review or after publication.
Conflicts of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence their work or decisions. Reviewers with conflicts must recuse themselves. Editors with conflicts must hand the manuscript to another editor.
Corrections, Retractions & Expressions of Concern
If errors are found post-publication, a correction notice will be issued. If fraud or serious misconduct is established, the article will be retracted with a public notice. Retracted articles remain accessible with a clear retraction label. Expressions of concern may be issued when an investigation is ongoing.
Reporting Misconduct
To report suspected misconduct or raise an ethical concern, contact the editorial office at editor@ivirth.in with supporting evidence. All reports will be handled confidentially and investigated in accordance with COPE guidelines.
